Midwest Vein Centers was formed in 1992. Midwest was one of the first clinics that specialized in the treatment of venous disease. Many clinics did just sclerotherapy but Midwest offered all aspects in the treatment of venous disease.

Midwest founder, Dr. Ronald Bush, is a vascular surgeon who saw a real need for changing how venous disease was treated. His background in vascular surgery and certification in the new specialty of laser surgery afforded him avenues not available to most practitioners. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Bush has developed, refined, and taught new techniques in this rapidly evolving field. Surgeons from throughout the world have been trained by Dr. Bush.

Midwest Vein clinic was the site for the original FDA trials for both the 940nm and the 1319nm wavelengths in the intravenous ablation of the saphenous vein.
